Your daughter has had what is known as a convulsion or fit. This fit was not due to any electronic device such as an mp3 player. Of course the first condition that has to be excluded is epilepsy.Against this diagnosis is the absence of a family history of epilepsy.I do not want to alarm you as you have had a tremendous shock with your daughter's fit, but it is essential to exclude any possible brain tumour or other cause in the brain itself for her fit. I really would like her to be sen by a paediatric neurologist ASAP.
