Q.

Trigonocephaly

What is the treatment for Trigonocephaly (Skull forehead deformaty) My son is nearly 10 months old.

Does he need an operation or is there anything else to rectify the deformaty.

Paediatrician

I am sure that you are aware that this is due to the early fusion or closure of the metopic or frontal suture of the skull. This gives the skull a triangular shape when viewed from the front. It is certainly not always necessary to operate on this condition. Please ask to see a paediatric neurosurgeon. You can read more about Trigonocephaly on the internet via Google.
