Q.

Too old for MMR?

I have not yet had my 3 year old daughter immunized (MMR). She was undergoing treatment for a heamangioma, from the age of 8 months. I was advised not to have the immunization done while she was having the treatment. It has been over a year now and i would like to know whether I can now carry on, or is she too old, what side effects will there be?

I do not think she is too old and in girls it is always important to have the rubella vaccination. The side effects are usually minimal. Some mild viral symptoms in the 2 weeks follwoing the vaccination may occur.
