If he is getting frequent episodes of tonsillitis [5 or more per year] then he is a candidate to have his tonsils removed. The trouble in London is simply getting to see an NHS ENT surgeon without waiting for ages. If you have health insurance then I suggest that you try and have your child seen by Dr David Alberts or Dr Hartley in private practice at the Portland Hospital.

Why don't they take it out?? Surely there is a ent specialist who can take it out?
My boy suffered almost every month of tonsilitis (and all the other illnesses that comes with it...) and his tonsilis and adenoids were removed at 18mnths! He is much better now..

best of luck - i hope you find a ent specialist who can help you!!
