Toilet Training - 3 1/2 Year Old

My son is 3 1/2 and has been toilet trained for a year now. He is dry day and night. My problem is that he refuses to stand and urinate and only wants to sit. His dad tries to encourage him and I explain to him all the time that thats how boys do it but he is not interested. He is very sensitive about his penis and does no like to touch it and we are not allowed to touch it either except for a quick wash in the bath. Could something be wrong?

There is nothing really wrong and this is just a stage that your son is going through. He will get things right with time but he seems to want to do things at his own pace.Take a break from any mention of how he should pass urine and whether he should stand and not sit etc. No one in the family should say a word about it for at least a month and see what happens when the pressure is off him a bit..
