Toddler only eating cereal

Im a bit deseperate when it comes to my almost 2yr old boy' s eating habbits. He use to be an excellent eater and lately he is not eating well at all. He will have some cereal or oats in the morning, maybe a little bit of lunch (hardly anything) and supper time he refuse to eat his supper (meat, mash, veg, macaroni, etc) I do not let him snack before supper. So when he refuses I give him cereal mixed with yoghurt and banana/fruit, but is that enough for now until he decides to eat again? I also make sure he drinks his vitamins every day and he is on Nan3/cow milk. He loves naartjie, but won' t let food touch his lips.
Must I worry, or what can I do . I have tried making it fun, mash it, let him feed himself, but nothing seem to work at the moment.

Many children eat poorly at this age. It is difficult to advise you here as you have tried most of the usual ways to try to tempt your son to eat more. The main thing is not to try to force him to eat anything and not to become stressed as long as he is gaining weight and growing well. He should join the family at all mealtimes and must feed himself. Place his food in front pf him and let him eat, don't say a word about his eating and don't even look his way or only take a glance now and again.Keep mealtimes pleasant. Your son will copy the way the rest of the family eats and will eventually start eating better.Don't say a word if he leaves any food on his plate now, this will improve with time.

I thought I was going crazy, but I am so relieved to know I am not alone. My 22mth boy is generally very healthy and happy, but now and again he stops eating, and I pull out my hair!

Your post makes me smile! I have a 2 year old who refuses to eat any cereal/porridge (breakfast!) and then eats well for the rest of the day!
And he is healthy and above average weight, but I also worry  -)
