Toddler &  Snorring

Hi Doc.

Hope this email finds you well.. My son is 33months old.. We had his Adenoids (not totally removed) when he was 1 year old.. We took him to the ENT last year Oct for Bad snorring, the Dr did a CT scan and diagnosed him with a Sinus Infection and prescibed Betanoid for 5 days... My son started snorring 5 nights ago, and snores really bad, and i''ve noticed he''s got a smelly breath... His tonsils are really large they almost touch the little tongue in the middle at the back of the throat.. should I give him the Betanoid again, or can u advise on something we can do..
Thank you sooo much Dr....

You are welcome. Children should not snore as this means that they have very blocked noses or their tonsils are so large that they are interfering with breathing. You son must be seen by an ENT specialist again because he needs to have his remaining adenoids removed as well as his tonsils. This should be done ASAP.
