The dimples are gone

I am concerned about my son. When he was 2 1/2 years he weighed 21kg. He was on Progress no. 3 and was drinking 4-6 bottles a day. At the end of April he decided that the milk and bottle was yukky and threw it away. He turned 3 last month and i have noticed that he has lost alot of weight, he weighs about 17kg now and is 98cm tall. He eats well and is active. He does suffer with his tonsils and has 2 bout in 1 1/2 months. They are enlarged and the ENT recons that the adenoids are also enlarged as he permanatly has a runny nose and PNT at night. Please advise on the weight issue.

Your son was seriously overweight at 2 and a half years. The normal weight for a boy of that age is 14kg. You were giving him far too much milk then, but fortunately on his own he rejected all this milk.He is still a big boy for his age, well above average, but at least he is now within the recognised growth lines for his age.
