The cold

Hello doctor,
My 18 month girl HATES being covered up at night - gets very aggravated so i leave her open and only cover her at 10 when i go to bed until she wakes up a little later and kicks it off andn i have tried light, medium blankets and a duvet.
My question: Do toddlers get as cold as us? My lg''s hands are ice cold in the morning form being uncovered - cant she get sick as she coughs alot early hours of the morning (she has always got a bit of phlegm on her chest.) I have started letting her sleep in a body vest, tshirt and a tracksuit with socks to keep warm when uncovered - my hubby says it is too hot.

Your daughter is one of very many children of this age who don't like to be too hot when they are sleeping. She should only wear cotton clothing and just use a light duvet. You can warm her room to a comfortable temperature, not too hot.
