testicle pain in a 8 year old

Hi doc ,
My son told me yesterday that whilst he was watching television he experienced sever testicle pain , as he described it , he said that it felt as if his testicles moved up into is stomach , the pain was so bad that he started to cry , this lasted for a min or two , he never had these symptons before and I asked him if he might have hurt himself , but he said no , I also checked that his underwear was not maybe to tight and it wasn''t . There are no swelling/redness or lumps at the erea , should I take him to a dr or rather wait and see if it happens again ? what could cause this ?
Thank you doc

Unfortunately this complaint could possibly be due to a serious problem where one of the testicles twists around in the scrotum. This is called torsion of the testis. There are other causes for testicular pain as well. Your son must be seen by a doctor.

My 8 year old said he has a aching pain in his testicles but ive not notice him in particular pain. He has recently been diagnosed with abdominal migraine's. Could this be related? Or could it be a sign of puberty? Thanks in advance

Mini, your son needs to see a dr right away. Torsion of the testicle can cause your son to loose fertility as the blood supply to that testicle is affected. It happened to my son.
