Q.

Teething remedy

My daughter is almost a year old and has been teething since the weekend. She normally sleeps through the night but since Sunday has woken up after about two/three hours screaming and crying and also rubbing her jaw. I have given her 2.5ml of Stoypayne on Sunday and Monday night but I don't want to use this medication continously. Panado doesn't seem to help her so please could you give me the name of another drug that is safe to use until this tooth comes through.

Keep on with Panado or Calpol only as far as medicines are concerned and try one of the teething gels on her gums.

My baby is 23 months old, she started teething at 18 months. in the last three week shes cut three bottom teeth. she is now cutting for molars. She is now constantly complaining of headache and sore stomach, and seems quite nauseous, and refusing to eat... is that normal? We are currently using Ashton & Parsons. Pain syrups just don't seem to help at all....

My baby just turned 1year old, when I see he is teething, all I cave is VIDOL and little bit calpol at night. IT works like wonder. That is all I used for both my kids. Good luck

Some times they also get ear ache when they are teething and that's why they wake up and don't want to lie down, there is more pressure on the ears when you lie down. Just continue with Ponstel and maybe try the Prodol and Weleda Teething Mixture, I am sure it works well. I have only been using Ashton & Parsons powders. My daughter had 3 teeth that came out at the same time now, 2 top molars and one bottom eye tooth ( 14 months and 14 teeth ) Good luck!
