Q.

teething, crying in sleep

My baby is 7.5 months. Had a low grade fever in day and max 38.5 at night, for past week, no other symptoms. Phoned paed over weekend, she said that I must watch out for other symptoms like rash etc. He slept through the night, but started to wake up and cry when fever started. No more fever for past 2 days, but still screaming in his sleep from 12-2 in night. His gums is swollen, so thought that it may be teething. Did give bonjelo and panado, but screaming just continues ? Is it possible that teething can cause hysterical screaming at night and crying that can not be comforted ? .

This is probably not all due to teething. I would like him to be checked to be sure that he does not have an ear infection or other problem which is worrying him so much.
