My son (18 motnhs) now have the following teeth: 4middle top, 3middle bottom 4molars(one on each side top and bottom) His bum is really red and burnt - makes about 7 poo's a day when teething. How many more teeth need to come out, and when will this stop????? What can I use for his bum?? I have tried Antipeol, Bepanthen, Fissan???

The nappy rash may be due to candida if it does not repond to the creams you have used.He still has to get 8 teeth by my calculation.

Hi, I don't know if this is obvious but I used Elizabeth Ann'e Nappy Rash Cream. It is available at any chemise, shop, dischem etc and is really inexpensive. Works like a bomb!

Hi

My son is 14mnths and also had the same problem with his bum while teething. Try the following, it really worked for me:

Ask your pharmasist for Mucaine (this is a acid neutraliser). I found that my son's acid level in his tummy gets realy high when teething, which causes the feases to burn his bum.

All you do is pour Mucaine on a cotton ball and dab it on all the red areas. After that, put Antipeol on his bum, and then sprinkle some Maizina over his bum.

Do not use any baby wipes till the redness has gone. Use damp cotton balls (dabbed in water) to clean his bum after every nappy change.

Hope this works as well for you as it did for me.

I use Aston & Parson it helps with the tummy, When i lived in Plett the chemist mixed this cream up for Paige, her bum was raw. Maybe ask your chemist if they can do that here in JHB. I know just what you are going through Paige also battles with teething and i can only use something for a month then it just does not work anymore.
