Q.

TB

Hi Doc, my eight month old old, has had terrible coughs for about a month now, it seems to change, from dry to wet and lots of slime on the chest but not coming out. Iam worried that he might have Turbuculosis, Please advise, should I take him for another Check up, the doctor thought it might be a nasal drip and provided Nitepax & Coryx it still does not help.

Thanks
Denise

It is unlikely that your baby has TB although this is not impossible. Your baby must be seen by a paediatrician with an interest in Paediatric Respiratory conditions. There are experts in all the main centres in SA.
