Q.

Syndrome or condition?

Hi Doc

Is there something medical connected to the word "Zellweyer" like eg. a syndrome or condition? my friends new born is in hospital, apparently he gets "fits" (Stuipe) frequently.

Zellweger Syndrome is a very serious inborn genetic condition. I don't want to elaborate too much on it but fits are a feature of the condition. Most infants die before the end of their first year.
