Q.

Swollen Rib

My 7mth old baby's rib at the bottom left hand side is bumpy than the one on the right hand side. She doesn't cry when you feel it, she doesn't even take notice that you're rubbing it. Which makes me think it's not paining / swollen but Im just concerned.
Is it normal / hereditary or it's a condition that need s to be checked out?
It doesn't show that much (as the tummy's big) until you feel it.

This is a condition that needs to be checked out. It may be normal but on the other hand it may be due to a previous fracture or even be a sign of rickets.

Leila I think you're right cause her daddy just confirmed that he's got that as well. Maybe it's hereditary!!

Tkx!

HI

I'm a grown up, and mine is still like that. It's very visible seeing that i am quite thin. And it doesn't hurt at all. My aunt's got the same. So maybe it is hereditary. My baby just had more space to move on that side! :P
