Swollen limf nodes in neck!

Hallo,im at the stage where i dont know what to do!My little girl is nearly 5 years old.About 16 days ago she woke up the morning telling me her neck is sore and she showed me where. Its at the back af her neck not underneath her ear.she had low grade fever of 37-38 for 3 days and a bit of a snotty nose!3 days later she seemed better and i send her to school,it was after the long weekend.Anyway that Friday her limfnodes were still swollen and she had a low grade fever again.Snotty nose. The Saterday i took her to our house dr,and he said maybe its german measles, def some kind of viral infection.Somethings up but not sure what. That evening i did notice small litlle spots on her back, cause she says it itches. So i thought ok,maybe it is german measles. But the more i look at it,the less sure i became!,its not red and all over, just onher back and sides!Monday i phoned my dr and told him,he said theres really nothing he can do!!!!!by that time her fever were down!its now weekend again, her limfnodes is still swollen in her neck, she still has the rash on her back.To me it looks like some kind of skin infection. You can feel it under your fingers aswell.Im not sure this is normal? Its been about 16 days now,the fever is gone!Should i rather take her to a Peadiatrician, than our house Doc?

It is difficult to be sure about the diagnosis of your daughter's illness without being able to examine her.Her illness does not fit the diagnosis of german measles. In any case she has been immunised against german measles. Two other possibilities are Glandular fever [most likely] or tick bite fever [less likely] It would be best to take her to see your paediatrician.
