Q.

swollen Hand

Hi , I have 3 Month old daughter , and for about 3 weeks now we have noticed that her right arm is more fatter than her left. She seems to be using the hand as normal and she seems to be in no pain.We have taken her to our local hospital and they said that it could be an insect bite but thier seems to be no bite or wounds and they prescribed Calamine lotion which did not help.
Description of right hand : From ELbow right down to the palm of her hands are like soft jelly.
She did get her 4 day imunisation on that arm , could that be the reason?

I really cannot tell without inspection, but it is comforting that she uses the had normally. My advice would be to observe it and if it persists after 5-7 days or become red or painful, then it needs to be re-evaluated.
