Q.

Swolen toe

My grandson is 16 months old and his one toe has been swolen and red for the past 3 months - the doctors cannot see any entry (glass, thorn etc) they have given him antibiotics and other medicine but is stays swolen and red. He sometimes complaint about it and says it hurts but not all the time.

What could this be?

Thank you

He needs to be fully investigated including having an X-Ray of the affected toe as he may have a problem called osteitis. There must be reason for his toe being so red and swollen. If necessary get a second opinion.
