Q.

sweating a lot

Morning

Baby in 9mths. This child sweats buckets. I cannot dress her in warm clothing on a cool night, because she is soaked after an hour of sleep. It's a T-shirt for her. Once it gets a bit cooler, I cover her, but as any mommy knows, babies kick their blankets off during the evening. I'm just afraid she will get too cold while she sleeps.

Her body temp varies from 36 - 37.5 throughout the day and night. She gets plenty of fluids during the day, so she is well hydrated.

Am I paranoid? Any advice as this is my first baby.

Paediatrician

This can be perfectly normal and usually is. However with all the TB around in this country and due to the fact that babies often have night sweats as the first sign of TB, it is best to be sure that all is well with her. Ask her paediatrician to see her and he will do a simple test which if negative will reassure you a great deal.

My little boy (5 months) also sweats alot.

He sleeps in the Babysense summer slumber bag - it's really thin but he can't kick if off so it works!
