sun burn, skin cancer

what is the best treatment i can give my 9 yr old for bad sun burn? blisters have appeared, tried aloe vera gel work on 90% of the sunburn but 10% not healing well, i also used betadine ointment. Do i keep it covered? This is the worst sun burn she has ever had and she has very fair skin with freckels.

There is really not a lot you can do now apart from preventing infection in the open wounds. The most important thing is to prevent this from ever happening again. Use a hat and clothing (e.g. a swim suit that covers most of the body) and always protect exposed areas with a good sunscreen
