Q.

Stinky nose

my daughter is 7 and has an extremely smelly nos (sickly sweet disgusting odour)- the smell does not come from her mouth. I have had her at a GP who prescribed an allergex/ betanoid combination syryp and saline drops. After 5 days the smell is slightly better but definetly still there. I have a script for an anti-biotic, but have not used it yet as she is really a difficult and uncompliant muti taker. She also hates and performs with doctors. Could there be something "stuck" in her sinus - the GP saw nothing, or should I continue the meds?

There could well be something stuck in her nostrils especially with this story. Children often push things up their noses. She should be seen by an ENT specialist who will examine her properly and make a proper diagnosis.
