Q.

squint baby

took 4 week old to weigh today - sister mentioned his squint and said that it can be fixed.
i read that one should not worry about squint eyes in newborns, but seeing that the sister sees a lot of babies, my baby's squint must be bad if she felt to mention it?
when should i worry and what should i do to get it fixed?

Paediatrician

You are correct, it is far too soon to be concerned about a squint. She is not even looking at things properly yet. This will only occur at 6 weeks. So wait at least until she is 3 months old and if she still has a very obvious squint she can be assessed by a paediatric eye specialist who will advise about further management.
