Q.

some more Meckels Diverticulum questions

If occult blood is the only symptom that is constantly noted, and abdominal pain is not too frequent, and my 9 month old has a meckels diverticulum, must it be removed?
Or is it an option to monitor (how I don't know, check iron in blood?) it and only have it removed when it wants to burst or if pain is very bad?

Pain is not always a common symptom but the positive occult blood test remains of concern. Please go ahead and have your baby tested for a possible Meckels. Bleeding may become profuse in some cases of this condition.
