Some advice please

Hi Doc

My 6 month old baby girl has been on amoxil for the last 4 days due to an infection in her throat and nose. She has also been on betnasol nose drops. Last night she started coughing really badly - she coughed non-stop for at least 2 hours, but then seemed to quiten down. The paed on call told me to give her 1 ml of mucospect, which i didn' t do, as i am a bit nervous to give this to her. The cough does seem to be from a post nasal drip, but i am worried it could get worse. Do you think i should take her back to her paed - or should i just carry on with salex and illiadin drops?

Thanks so much

Just carry on with Salex drops and stop the Betnesol [strong cortisone] nose drops and the Iliadin drops. Give her a probiotic to boost her immunity especially now that she is on the Amoxil.
