Q.

Solids

Morning

My boy will be 5 months old on Thursday and we've been given the go ahead to start solids. (he weighs 9kg)

I will be starting him on rice cereal.
What are the chances of constipation? And if he does get constipated, can I use glycerine suppositories?

I have quite a few concerns re feeding as he has been a VERY difficult feeder up until now. He suffers from severe acid reflux, which has made milk feeds an absolute nightmare. Do you think once he is on solids this will improve?

His reflux problem may improve once he starts on solids. Why is he not on treatment for his refux? Treatment is so effective these days.He should not become constipated on solids especially on a little rice cereal.

He's been on Losec for 3 months now.
We stopped the meds a few weeks ago to see if it had gotten any better - no such luck so he's back on it.
