Q.

Snotty Nose

My baby (nearly 5 months) has had a snotty nose for about 3 weeks now... I have treated her with Iliadin & something with a B.... I've been giving her saline solution and Nasonex... but it just won't clear up. Do you have any suggestions for me please. Thanks

Only use infant saline nose drops, none of the other medicines. Iliadin should be used for a maximum of 10 days, not longer as side effects can occur and Nasonex is a cortisone spray [how did a 5 month old baby get to be on this spray as it is only to be used after the age of 1 year and then only for proven allergic nasal problems?]If the saline drops do not help please see an ENT specialist as your baby may have enlarged adenoids.
