Sleeping problems

My baby is 12 weeks old and really struggling to sleep during the day...he cannot seem to close his eyes for more than 15 to 30 min at most twice a day...very exhausting for parents as well....during night he also wakes many times...he is on a 4 hourly feeding schedule during the day...(6, 10 , 2 ,6) and has one night feed around 2....Lactogen and drinks plus minus 100ml at a time...(I do offer 150ml but he does not want more) Do you tnhink I should increase the frequency...could he be hungry during night...however wakes up but do not demand food....?

Your baby's sleeping problem does not seem to be due to hunger. He may be having colic or have some other obvious reason for waking so frequently. Does he have a blocked nose for example? As his problem is certainly significant it is worthwhile asking your paediatrician just to make sure that we are not missing anything obvious.

My baby also didn' t sleep longer that about 30minutes during the day when he was born. Even in my tummy while I was pregnant he was always moving. At night he was quiet. During the day he was so busy he would make me off balance while walking. It was my first pregnancy so I didn' t know if it was normal.
During night he wanted 2 hourly feedings.
