Sleep - what to do with a 3yr old

I honestly don''t know anymore - please help. My 3 yr old LG is still not sleeping through the night. She''s been a very bad sleeper since birth and I don''t know what to do anymore. For the last 3 weeks we''ve been sending her for the " neuro-logics"  treatment, where they play like a " packman"  game on the computer and it reads your brain waves for example. (I hope this makes sense), but it''s suppsed to train your brain to sleep longer. It''s also supposed to help with concentrataion etc. I''m at my last end and I don''t know if my LG will ever sleep through. Her mind is too active and she can''t fall asleep easily as well. She wakes up at night wanting to watch TV or she just cries. Now...... my question is......... is there anything you can give them to sleep that will not affect them? I''ve tried " Quietide"  but it had a negative effect on her and kept her awake. What can I do to make her sleep better?

This is a common problem with intelligent children they have inquiring minds and want to know what is going on around them. Keep her quiet for at least an hour before bed time. Create a tranquil atmosphere in her room and your house. Play soothing music and dont allow her to watch loud and raucus Tv programmes before her bed time. Read her bedtime stories which calm rather than stimulate at bedtime and read them in a calm voice. A bedtime drink of warm mildkshould also help. Try a little lavender oil on her pillow.
Impress upon her that Mommy and Daddy need their sleep and if she can't sleep she will have to play quietly on her own.Be firm with her and dont allow her to watch TV when she wakes up at night. Be very firm about this.
Be reassured that this phase will pass.
