Q.

Runny/blocked nose

My LO is 16 months and goes to creche. He has started with a runny nose during the day and blocked nose at night. Last winter he was sick continuously, picking up anything that was going around at creche. Eventually the only thing that cleared up his nose was Bactroban Nasal. Now that he is starting again (all the kids have runny noses in his class), I am worried that I will have the same problem again this year. Is there anything I can give him to boost his immune system? Last year I tried Viral Choice for kids, however, it didn't seem to help.

Use regular infant saline or Salex nose drops to keep her nose clear. This has to be done every day and not just when needed. In addition keep her resistance up by using Reuteri infant drops 1ml daily for 10 days per month. Also use Viral Choice Junior but only in the winter months, starting in May and going through to September.
