Q.

runny tummy

Hi. My son is now 19m. His tummy has been running for just over a week now. 2-6 nappies a day all soft. At the school they say it is teething nappies, it also smells (he only has 12 teeth now). He still eats normally and has no pain for he is not crying etc. He had a bit of a fever the one day and it was over. Do you think it could be the teeth or should I get him to my doctor? Thank you

This is not due to teething and he seems to have picked up a tummy bug. One needs to take notice of this as his stools remain runny after a week and are still frequent. Ask your doctor to see him. In the meantime make sure that he is drinking an electrolyte solution such as Rehidrat or similar as extra fluid.
