Running battle with cold

We have a 6months old son and he had cold for over a month,we've been to our local hospital here in Nigeria and he's been given antibiotics(ampiclox),which he completed the dosage,he cold left for about a week and now its back,he has difficulties breathing because of stuffy nose, can you advice on next line of action? Also he brings out (little vomits) every time he eats but the local peadiatrician thinks he's ok because of his weight which stands at 7.3kg as at the last time we weigh him,his birth weight was 2.6kg.Our concern is when he trys to sit down which he can do without assistance for some minutes now he pour out his food.Thank you

He sounds like he has a problem called gastro-intestinal reflux. Take him to your doctor and ask him about reflux and to treat him for this.

I was told that if the cold last longer than 10 days it could be an allergy, sinus allergy, so I got my 3 year old Zetop, allergy syryp which you give for 10 days and it dissappeared after 4 days, but I completed the course.

Good luck

Dear Lateef.

I don't have any suggestions on the vomiting part, but for the cold, we also battled with our son for many months, until we tried the following: Bath him before 16H00 in the afternoon. And give him a daily dosage of Viral Choice Junior and Scotch Imulsion. Our son haven't had a cold for 10 months now, although he's been in contact with alot of he's friends while having a cold. Try that, it will boost his immune system, and prevent him from getting a cold easily.

Best of luck
