Q.

Rotavirus

My son is 2 years old and his little friend (same age) was diagnosed today with the rotavirus. How long is the rotavirus contagious for, i.e. how long should I keep my son away from his friend. The last contact they had was last week Thursday. Is he at risk of contracting it from then?

He is at risk of contracting this virus, but the period of time seems to be quite long already since their last contact-so it would appear that the danger is past.
