Rice cereal

My prem baby is 5 mnts old but corrected age is 2 mnt. He Weighs 4.5 kg and does not want to drink his bottle. He was on Nan 1 and tried changing to Novalac 1. He still does not want to feed. He does not pass stools regularly and have to be given Capson with his milk or Glycerene suppositories. He needs about 700 ml per day but we are struggling to feed him even 300ml per day. This has been going on for 4 days now. Can we try and feed him rice cereal or is he still to small.
Please advise

The average weight for a 2 month baby is 5.5kg, so even at your baby son's corrected weight he is still far below his expected weight. So he has a significant feeding problem. It would be best to feed him on a special formula such as Similac Advance, but I am concerned about the multiple problems you are having in feeding your baby and his constipation. He really needs to be seen by a paediatrician initially and then you should be advised and your baby regularly followed up by your nearest baby clinic.
