Q.

regular fevers

Do i need to be concerned? My son is 21 months old and gets a fever once a month, shoots up to 40 sometimes, this is always accompanied by 'throwing up'. Do i need to seek further help?

Yes, you must find out what is causing this fever. This sounds like a condition called Periodic Fever which is not due to a viral or bacterial cause, but is an inherited tendency. It is also called Mediterranean fever as it is more common in children of Mediterranean descent-but this need not always be the case. Please have your child seen by a paediatrician.
