reflux medication and breastfeeding

Took my 6 week old to paediatrician a week ago with possible reflux. (re:639)
He was prescribed Gaviscon, half a sachet 4 times a day.
I express a little milk (about 5ml) and mix half a sachet with it before feeding it to my son with a small spoon, before I breastfeed him. I don't think that the medicine works, and have stopped giving it, still get same vomiting with (just thicker vomit) or without Gaviscon.
I am worried that I could overdose him (his stomach even more active with less stools, and if, very watery, when taking Gaviscon). The dosage on packet is half to one sachet with 120-240 ml milk feed.
How do I know if he drinks 120ml (think not on his age) to mix with half the sachet?
And isn't there other similar medication that is more user friendly for breastfeeding mothers? (Expressing all the time is not working for me)

You do not need to use breast milk, but mix half a sachet of the Gaviscon with a small amount of boiled and cooled water. Gaviscon is the safest treatment for very young infants with reflux. If it is not helping please inform your doctor and he must see your baby again.

My baby is 4months and still suffers from reflux. I breastfed her exclusively until 3 months, but am now giving her Anti-Reflux formula during the day. It does help, but it's not the miracle cure I was expecting. Don't give the Infant Gaviscon every day. Our paed said to stay away from it. And in any case is it EXTREMELY difficult to give to a breastfed baby. Our paed prescribed Losec. I give it in a tiny bit of water and then put her on the breast.

My paed said that Gaviscon makes little ones constipated. My little one is on Nexiam and it is very effective.
