Reflux &  other medicines

Dear Prof

Hope this message finds you well. My 19 months old son is on Nexium &  Motilium - I can see a little improvement with the reflux - thanks to your advice. Since Sunday he has cold, (I read that Nexium doesnt work well with other drugs) What is the suitable medicine I can give him for cold?

2nd question: To give him Nexium is a huge stuggle, if I can dissolve it in a little bit of telament gripe water can it still work well.

Thank you very much for your time

Thank you.All you need to use for your son's cold is saline nose drops or spray to keep his nose clear and if he is feverish then you can use Panado, but only if necessary. You should ask your doctor to change the Nexium to Losec. You can either use the Losec Mups or a generic form of Losec such as Omez in capsule form. You can simply empty the contents of the Omez capsule onto a spoon of applesauce and give it to your son.
