Q.

Reflux

My baby is 10 weeks old and was diagnosed with reflux when she was 3 weeks old. the pediatrician prescribed Zantac. It made a huge difference. For how long can we continue to give it? IF we want to stop it should we taper the dose or just stop it? Is there something else that I can try. More natural stuff?
She weighs 6.6 kg and is gaining weight inspite of the reflux.
I saw on a previous post that ypu said that if they suck their hands it might be a sign of reflux.
What can I do to make it beter?

Thanks for your help

Paediatrician

I never said that sucking hands is a sign of reflux and it certainly is not. You need to keep in touch with your paediatrician who needs to monitor your baby's progress. He will decide when you should stop the medicine which is safe and effective for treating reflux.
