Q.

Red Blotches/allergy

Thank you for responding so promptly. I need to know, if a child is allergic to her formula. Does this mean she will have an allergic reaction everytime she drinks her milk? Or not necessarily? I noticed her skin getting red blotches today that came and went. what allergy test can a 5 and a half month have that will show if she is indeed allergic to anything?

Paediatrician

There are very effective allergy tests which can be done at her age such as skin tests or a test known as RAST. Consult a paediatrician with an interest in allergies in children. There are experts in all the main centres in SA.
