RE:1827 - Wind?

hi all
we stopped the S26 3 and yoghurt on Sat and started giving him S26 LF, he didn' t sleep again last night. is there a big difference between Isomil and S26 LF. should i stop the S26 LF or should i give it some time to see if it will work? the thing is we had tried isomil when he was about 4 wks old and it got him constipated that is why we got an LF formula instead of isomil. does this now mean he is allegic to cow' s milk?

Your son is probably not allergic to cow's milk but has a lactose intolerance. This means that he is unable to digest milk properly. Many children are not happy on the LF formulas and they do not like the taste. You have a difficult problem now to decide which formula to try. It may be a good idea to consult a dietician who deals with children.

Keep giving him the LF formula. My daughter also got very constipated with the Isomil.

Try this for about a week and see if it makes a difference. If not, then I would suggest you try Similac Alimentum.

This is for children who is allergic to soya and lactose. Apparently this is a great formula, from what I heard. It' s not nice tasting though and a bit expensive, but will help your baby a lot!
