RE: Cheeks go red after a nap

My eight month old had been diagnosed with eczema. She seemed to have had it on almost her entire body. It has gone away on the body and the skin has now been smooth for a while, except the face. Some days her face is red and other days not. But we have noticed a pattern of her face going red after she has had her nap morning or afternoon. What could this be?

This is very common with eczema on the face. It seems that the child's own saliva often irritates and worsens the skin rash. Use your eczema ointment if the rash is raw and very itchy.
