Q.

rash

this wasn't answered...

Morning, my 7 month old has very fine spots/rash on his face and back of neck. It has been there a while. Doesn't seem itchy or to bother him. Could it be heat rash? It has been warm here in cape Town. He is on Infasoy 2 and eats a mix of solids. I am also giving him Nestle cerelac in the mornings which has milk in, this is the only milk he gets, should I stop it?
thanks

It is very difficult to diagnose a rash without being able to see it. The rash does not sound like eczema as it is not itchy. It could be a heat rash as it does not seem to bother him, but here again heat rashes are usually on the baby's chest or back.It does not seem to be milk allergy as the distribution of the rash is against this possibility. If it is not worrying him it will probably clear up by itself. If anything changes and he is uncomfortable or itchy, he should see your doctor.
