Q.

Purple rings

Hi doc

My daughter has dark red to purple rings under her eyes. They are always there just the shade differs. Does she have some kind if difficiency. What can I do about it. She eats well most of the time with vegitables every day at lunch time. She is a extremely active and bright 4 year old. She also sleeps well, 1 hour during the day and goes to bed at 8:30pm at night, gets up at 6am. She does talk in her sleep very often.

These rings normally indicate a child that is tired or allergic. If she is perfectly well, sleeps undisturbed, runs and plays like all other children without tiring easily etc. I would not be concerned. With any additional signs it requires evaluation.
