Q.

Procutan and how to use it

Please advise on your view on the use of Procutan on a six month old. Is it safe? Must it be applied directly onto her face or a moisturiser first?

Procutan is a cortisone ointment but is one of the weakest of all cortisone ointments used to treat eczema in children. It is safe to use in young infants, but should not be used more than once daily and then for not more than 7 days out of a 28 day cycle.
