Prelone syrup

My 5 &  half month old daughter was prescribed an antibiotic for an ear infection and Prelone syrup to open up her wheezing chest this morning by her dr. I was a bit distracted by my daughter when the dr explained how to give the medication &  I thought it would be clear from the script when I go to the chemist. The dr prescribed 4ml Prelone once per day, but the pharmacist said the script did not specify for how many days to give the medication &  they gave me a 50ml bottle. I''m a bit embarrassed to call the dr again to confirm the nr of days for the Prelone since I should have paid more attention. The pharmacist said that usually infants should take it for between 5 - 7 days? Kindly confirm? The antibiotics are for 7 days. She weighs 6.74kg.
Thank you very much!

The Prelone should be given for 5 days.

My son is 5 months old he has had bronchilites for the past two months , he has been in hospital and recovered a week later he got it again I saw the paediatrician and after using Singulair for three weeks at night to open the lungs , and nebulizing ith Berotec at least 4 times a day he was still not recovering , from he''s chest weezing and a very sore cough , the doctor has prescribed prelone i have been using this now for more than 7 days, with the singulair and the nebulising , he''s chest is still the same , i am worried now as they did not tell me how long to use the Prelone and it is not very good as I have heard should I continue as he''s chest is not getting better , he is not reacting to the medications given I dont know what to do , should I get a second opinion as he is not getting better at all ,
