My 9 month old baby fell from his cot bed, he hit the floor with his head. I took him to the dr the next morning and she examined him and said there is no need to worry. But i cant help wondering if there is any damage to his brain or skull. Not that i dont trust the dr. Can i take him somewhere for x-ray or scalp sonar without the dr' s reference letter? just to put my mind at ease.

My son is 2 and we started potty training last week, and I am surprised at how well he' s doing already. He' s at creche, so my part comes in mostly on the weekends, and this does make a huge difference at creche during the week also.
I started with getting him to sit on the loo, on his seat, before a bath. Even if he does nothing, at least he gets used to the idea, and gets comfortable.
At the moment we spend a few minutes in the loo, until he wees, and I show him how proud I am of him. (The joys of motherhood!) On the weekend I left him without nappies for a few hours each day, and asked every now and then when he needed to use the potty.
Remember your child understands more than you realise at this age, so treat him like he knows, just be patient. I was nervous at first, but its going very well the more confident I look to him. All the best! Hopefully, we will say goodbye to nappies sooner!
