Q.

Post 936 (Baby not sleeping well).

Thank you for your input.

She is on solids and is eating 3 times a day with 4 bottles in 24 hours. She is wonderful during the day but last night I was up 9 times with her!

I can't do this anymore, is it also possible that it could be teething or an ear infection, if so what medicine can I get for her???

Teething is a strong possibility. Try using Pansoral gel on her gums and see if this makes any difference. For pain use Panado syrup according to the recommended dose on the bottle. If she is no better after 2 days ask your paediatrician to check her ears.

Hi there,

I had the same problem with my child. I gave up counting the number of times I got up at night after 15 counts. I have tried numerous things, maybe they will help you.

He wakes up crying with his fingers in his mouth. This to me indicated teething pain. I know what toothache is like, so I gave him 5ml of Ponstel.

I also have been giving him vitamin syrups in the morning and at lunch time. I stopped the lunchtime dose and I also extended sleep time by an hour. He went to sleep at 7 last night and I left him with a full bottle. He slept through and did not drink anything. So it is possible to sleep through.

Good luck and drink coffee to get through the day!
