Goodday Doc,

I went to the Dermatologist on Saturday and he gave her Allegex and Preflam medicine but she refuse to drink them and she vomit whenever i forced her and she gasp for breath. He gave her Locoidlipo cream for facial moiturising and Advantam fatty ointment fro the body.

My concern is the weight as she weighed 8.5kg and the last time at clinic check up she weighed 8.8kg, i' m afraid that she' s losing her weight but the doc prescribed the multivitamin for her (Vi Daylin).

What should i do when she refuses the medication? Is the anything i can give alternatively?

Babies do not like the taste of Preflam in particular.Did the dermatologist give you a diagnosis of your baby's skin problem? Babies with eczema are often slow to gain weight. Please write to me as soon as possible and tell me if you know what your baby's diagnosis is. I will then be able to advise you further. In the meantime keep up with the moisturiser only but do not use the Advantan fatty ointment which is an extremely strong cortisone ointment and is not permitted for babies.
