Poo-poo issues in 3 year old

Hi doc, my 3year old daughter has never made 1 single poo-poo in the toilet. She pee-pee's in the toilet - that's not a problem, but when she wants to poo-poo, she calls me to put on a nappy. If I take too long with the nappy, she will become all anxious, but will never poe-poe unless she's got the nappy on. I've tried the "I'll give you this" and "you can do that" route already, but not even that makes a difference. Please advice if this is something to worry about, or will it come right by itself? And what causes it?
Thank you doc!

Your little girl is going through a bit of an anxious phase now related to passing stools and using the toilet. She may have had a little anal tear at one time which caused her a bit of pain when passing stools. In any case this is just a temporary phase. The best thing you can do now is to give her a break from the toilet training. This should be at least for 10 days.Let her wear trainer pull-ups. When you start again be very patient and when she gets anything right praise her and tell her that she is getting a reward-give her something small as a reward.

My son was the same but at age 2. I kept giving in and putting on a nappy because he would hold it in and I was afraid he will get bowl issues. But then the creche teacher just said, don't put a nappy on, put him on the toilet and tell him no nappy! after 1 or 2 days he was pooing on the toilet but everytime he goes he MUST read a book LOL. The more you give in, she'll ask for it every time.
