PND (Post Nasal Drip)

I am hoping that you will be able to advise me. My 7 month baby is constantly diagnosed with PND and has been a various types of antibiotics and medication. Her Paediatrician prescribed Amoxcil for 10 days, Prelone for 7 days and Nasonex Spray for the next 6 months. It seemed to work for a while but she again developed the cough and the runny nose. Last week I took her to a GP because I thought she haad developed a cold and again she was diagnosed with PND and Moxan S and Iliadin was prescribed for 1 week but still nothing helps. Could there be something else wrong?

Your urgent advise is needed as her paediatrician is away this week.

A very worried mother,

Your baby is really very young to be having such a difficult problem. The most likely cause is enlarged adenoids. It is difficult to do anything active about this at her age, but she will benefit from twice daily use of infant nasal saline drops and the use of a probiotic such as Reuteri drops given daily to strengthen her immune system. If this problem shows no improvemnt by 9 months she should be seen by an ENT specialist.

Maybe she has a sensitivity towards certain foods or drinks. Or is allergic to something?
